IMPRESSIONS - The Ranking Officer for the Foraging Parties of Sherman's 15th Corps will be be Tripp Corbin of the Western Independent Grays. The 11th Georgia Militia will be commanded By Robby Mitchell of the Armory Guards. Headgear: 1) Strongly-Preferred - Federal-Issue Hardee Hat (Undressed). 2) Any Documented Citizen-Style Hat. 3) Federal-Issue Forage Cap With Proper Lacquer Bill. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Coat/Jacket:  1) Strongly-Preferred - Four-Button Sack Coat, Lined or Un-Lined. 2) Federal Infantry Issue Shell Jacket (No State Jackets). 3) Frock Coat. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Shirt:  1) Strongly-Preferred - Wool Flannel Federal Contract Shirt. 2) U. S. Regulation Issue Domet Flannel. Natural Off-White. 3) Citizen Shirt. Wool or Homespun. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Trousers:  Required - Sky Blue Infantry-Pattern, Wool Kersey of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Drawers:  1) Military Issue. 2) Citizen Pattern. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Footwear 1) Strongly-Preferred - Government Issued Brogans. (Suggested with Hobnails). 2) Citizen or Military-Style Shoes. 3) Military or Citizen Boots.  All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

Socks: Military or Citizen Socks. Hand-Knitted Cotton or Wool - all of Proper Period Construction.

Canteen:  U.S. Issued Smooth-Side With or Without Jean or Wool Cover. No Sky-Blue Covers. Linen Straps (Preferred). No Chains. Hemp/Linen Twine for Cork-Stopper.

Knapsack: 1) Bedrolls (Horse-Collars). 2) 1855 Double Bag Soft Pack of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

Haversack:  U.S. Issue Black Tarred Haversack of Proper Period Construction with Roller-Buckle Strap.

Cartridge Box: Bring 50 Rounds Please - Must Have Tins Correct Period Construction US Issue .58 or .69 Caliber Box with US Box Plate, Sling and U.S. Breast Plate.

Cap Pouch: Bring 60 Caps Please - Must Have Wool Liner. 1) U.S. M 1850. 2) U.S. Shield Front.

Waistbelt:  1) Late War Leather Belt with Brass Keeper Strongly Preferred. or 2) Early War Leather Belt with Leather Loop. Blackened Buff Acceptable But Not Required.  U.S. Issue Belt Plate: Puppy Paws Under the "S" Are Preferred.

Firearm (We Strongly Encourage Weapons That Have All Modern Markings Removed). 1) M1853 Enfield. 2) M1861 Springfield. 3) Henry Repeating Rifles. Appropriate Rifle Sling (Optional). No 2-Banded Weapons.

Bayonet Scabbard: 1) Two-Rivet Scabbard. 2) Federal-Sewn Scabbard. Safety: Must Have Attached Finial.

Blanket:  Brown or Gray Federal Issue Blankets with Brown/Tan Being the Preferred Style and Color.

Tentage: Shelter Halves/Dog Tents Are Acceptable.  No Other Tentage Will Be Allowed for the Federal Infantry.

Gum Blanket/Oil Cloth:  1) U.S. Issue India Gum Blanket with Small Grommets. 2) Tarred Oil Ground Cloth.
3) Ponchos - Reluctantly Accepted, But Not Preferred.

Eyewear:  1) Period Frames Only. 2) No Modern Eyewear of Any Kind! (Contacts Excluded - Solution in Poke Sack).

TROUSERS:  Citizen-Style Preferred. Wool or Cotton Jean Cloth, Citizen Overalls Also Accepted. (Proper Wear)

Drawers:  Any Documented Citizen or Military-Style Drawers of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

Footwear:  1) Any Documented Citizen-Style of Proper Period Materials and Construction. 2) English Imports. 3) Federal Brogans (Reluctantly Accepted).

Socks:  Either Citizen or Military-Style of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

Canteen:  1) Confederate Tin Drum or  2) Confederate Wood Drum Canteen. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction. No Federal-Issued Canteens Please.

ground cloth:  1) Any Documented Western Theater Painted Cloth. 2) Any Documented Citizen Floor Cloth. All of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

ACCOUTREMENTS: 1) Atlanta Depot Leather or Cloth. 2) English Import. *U.S. Accoutrements With the Buckles Removed Are Reluctantly Accepted.

Waistbelt:  1) Atlanta Arsenal Waist Belts, 2) Georgia-Frame with Clip-Corners, 3) Any Documented Citizen-Style. All of Proper Period Wear, Materials and Construction.

FIREARM (BRING 50 ROUNDS & 60 CAPS) 1) Citizen-Style Shotguns or Citizen Hunting Rifles. 2) '42 Springfield. 3) P53 Enfield. 4) Austrian Lorenz.  Bayonets Are Optional.

Bayonet Scabbard: Any documented Confederate Bayonet Scabbard for the Western Theater.  No Federal Bayonet ScabbardsBayonets Are Optional. All of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

BLANKET: Any Documented Confederate-Issued Blanket, Western Theater. 2) Any Documented Citizen Style. All of Proper Materials and Construction.  No Federal Blankets.

OVERCOAT: Optional, But Should Be Of Citizen-Style Only.  All of Proper Period Materials and Construction.

TENTAGE:  No Tentage Allowed For Confederate Militia.
